The unique structure incorporates a common outer carton partnered with one of two custom inserts that can be used with either the Vaporizer Kit or Liposomal Oil. The special die cut window on the front panel adds visual interest while allowing the consumer to see the product inside.

The folding cartons were converted utilizing Clearwater Candesce® SBS paperboard, cold foiled, and offset printed with four color process, PMS green, and opaque white inks, in-line with UV matte coating.

The striking graphic design incorporates soft gradients, bold colors, and an overall grain pattern that simulates natural-looking hemp paperboard.

The Crest 3D Whitestrips Professional White packaging has been selected as Packaging Impressions magazine's "Package of the Week".

The folding cartons were converted utilizing Clearwater Candesce® SBS paperboard, cold foiled, and offset printed with seven color inks, in-line with UV matte and UV gloss spot coating.

The unique trapezoidal structure beckons from the shelf and instantly differentiates itself from the competition. The die cut windows on each side panel allow the consumer to see the product inside.

Overprinting transparent inks over a custom “Pillars of Light” holographic cold foil creates shimmering, colorful metallic effects.

Embossed accents (logo, white strip) add dimension and provide an upscale appearance unique to personal care products.

The inspiration was a Gretsch G5422TG Electromatic® Hollow Body guitar with Bigsby® vibrato tailpiece, gold hardware, pearl Hump Block inlays, and a walnut stain finish..

Diamond Packaging Wins Three Awards in Paperboard Packaging Competition

Diamond Packaging won three awards in the 76th annual North American Paperboard Packaging Competition, the premier competition for carton manufacturers involved in the concept, design, print, performance, and shelf appeal of paperboard packaging. Awards were presented last month at the PPC 2019 Fall Meeting and Leadership Conference in Minneapolis, MN.

The competition, sponsored by the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) and judged by a jury of packaging professionals, industry experts, and professors, is a celebration of the industry and its creative potential. It is also an affirmation of paperboard as the clear and intelligent choice for packaging in today’s eco-conscious world.

Diamond won an Excellence Award in the “Cosmetics” category for Inter Parfums’ Sui Dreams in Purple by Anna Sui packaging, which utilized FSC-certified Ecological Fibers Flexpack Lumina Pearlescent paperboard.

Diamond also won Excellence Awards in the “Pharmaceutical/Healthcare” category for Iovate's Hydroxycut Ultra Lean packaging featuring cold foil and embossing, and Procter & Gamble’s Crest 3D Whitestrips Professional White packaging featuring a unique trapezoid design.

Winners were chosen from nearly 600 entries submitted in 47 different categories. Entries were judged on print quality, technical difficulty, and overall visual effect.

Diamond won Bronze Awards in the “Folding Cartons” and "Calendars" categories, respectively, for Splintek’s SleepRight Ultra-Comfort Dental Guard packaging, and for Diamond's 2019 corporate calendar.

Winners were chosen from hundreds of entries submitted in over 40 different categories. Entries were judged on print quality, functionality, and secondary converting and finishing attributes.

Diamond's packaging for Inter Parfums Anna Sui Fantasia Mermaid has been selected as Packaging Impressions magazine's "Package of the Week".

The folding cartons were converted utilizing FSC-certified Iggesund Invercote G paperboard, cold foiled, and offset printed with seven PMS and custom color inks, in-line with DiamondTouch and UV gloss spot coating.

The overall DiamondTouch soft touch coating adds an appealing tactile quality that promotes consumer interaction. The UV gloss spot coating is tightly registered to the embossed accents and provides a striking contrast to the overall matte finish surrounding it.

Overprinting transparent champagne rose gold ink over cold foil creates shimmering metallic effects on the panels and perimeter of the carton. The custom turquoise ombré design seamlessly transitions from dark to light, creating a luxurious gradient background for the gloss and embossed accents. Multi-level embossing (mermaid, shells, seahorses, starfish, plants) add dimension and contribute to a unique visual and tactile presentation.

The package received three awards in the 2019 Packaging Impressions Excellence Awards competition, including third place in Best of Show voting, as well as first place in the Folding Cartons: Offset category and second place in the Sustainability: Folding Cartons category.

rating for the third consecutive year.

Diamond Packaging has been awarded a Gold rating for the third consecutive year, based on its most recent EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assessment in April 2019. The company’s score classifies Diamond’s overall CSR performance as “Advanced” and places it in the top 1% of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis.

EcoVadis operates the first collaborative platform providing Supplier Sustainability Ratings for global supply chains. EcoVadis was founded with the belief that global businesses can make a huge positive impact on improving environmental and social practices globally, through their supply chains.

The EcoVadis methodology is at the core of its CSR analysis system, covering 21 criteria across four themes of Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

Diamond ranked highest in the Environment category, which comprises both operational factors (e.g., energy consumption, waste management) and product stewardship (e.g., product end-of-life, customer health and safety issues).

Diamond reported on its industry-leading greenbox sustainability initiative to research, design, and implement packaging solutions that are innovative and more sustainable. The core of the initiative – designs, materials, and methods – represents a comprehensive approach to packaging that minimizes environmental impact throughout the supply chain.

Diamond Packaging won seven awards in the 26th Annual FSEA Gold Leaf Awards Competition, the industry's premier showcase for foil stamping, embossing, and other specialty effects. Awards were announced earlier this month at the 2019 Odyssey Expo in Atlanta, GA.

The competition celebrates the quality, added value, shelf presence, security, and brand recognition that specialty finishing processes lend to the printed sheet. Entries are judged by a panel of industry experts on several criteria including design, execution, and level of difficulty.

Diamond won Gold Leaf and Silver Leaf Awards for P&G's Crest 3D Whitestrips Professional White packaging, and for its 2019 corporate calendar.

Diamond won Silver Leaf awards for Inter Parfums' Anna Sui Fantasia Mermaid and Iovate's Hydoxycut Organic packaging.

Diamond Packaging Debuts its 2019 Corporate Calendar Featuring NFC Smart Tag Technology

Diamond Packaging today announced the debut of its 2019 corporate calendar, a popular promotional item given to customers and suppliers. It’s also the company’s first to feature NFC smart tag technology, which enables brands to connect directly with consumers.

The “Making Waves” calendar, which was conceptualized, planned, and produced by the entire Diamond team, originates from a beautiful, hand-drawn pencil drawing. The calendar features Extended Color Gamut (ECG) seven-color process printing, cold foiling, UV gloss spot coating, DiamondGlitter and DiamondReticulate specialty coatings, multi-level embossing, debossing, intricate die cutting, and NFC tagging.

“The calendar demonstrates Diamond’s cutting-edge approach to package design,” said Dennis Bacchetta, director of marketing of Diamond Packaging. “We set out to create a colorful, beautifully-decorated structural and ornamental piece — one that users will want to interact with all year long. We also wanted to showcase the type of decorative effects that can cost-effectively elevate our customers’ brands, including cold foiling and smart tagging.”

All of the components utilized recyclable paperboards, and were manufactured using 100% clean, renewable wind energy and produced in a Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWL) facility.

Innovation Award in the Large Business category

Diamond Packaging was selected as a recipient of the Seneca Park Zoo Society's Environmental Innovation Award in the Large Business category. Awards were announced during the inaugural Environmental Innovation Awards and Symposium on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center.

Diamond received the Large Business Award for Environmental Innovation for demonstrating original solutions to current environmental issues, with cross-functional sustainability practices throughout the company. Diamond showed evidence of lowering its environmental footprint and the footprint of their customers with practices that are replicable for other companies.
